For thousands of cruise passengers arriving in Halifax, their first steps ashore begin here.
Working with the Halifax Port Authority, SperryDesign transformed the cruise passenger corridor adjacent to Pavilion 20 into a vibrant introduction to Halifax and Nova Scotia. At an architectural scale, we created a series of original illustrated murals celebrating some of the province’s most recognizable destinations—from Peggy’s Cove and the Halifax waterfront to the Halifax Citadel, Annapolis Valley wine country, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay.
The corridor was conceived as a connected passenger experience, combining large-scale environmental graphics, destination storytelling, multilingual wayfinding and Port Halifax branding to guide visitors from ship to terminal while building anticipation for the destination beyond.
The experience culminates in a bold, postcard-inspired HALIFAX installation—part welcome statement, part photo opportunity, and an unmistakable sense of arrival.
More than a series of murals, the Halifax Seaport Cruise Corridor is placemaking at the scale of an international cruise destination—transforming a working transportation corridor into a memorable first impression of Nova Scotia.
